DeVotchKa has a special place in my heart (local Denver based) and I usually don’t post concert photography here, but their eclectic style of eastern european gypsy mariachi music mixed with Nick Urata’s crooning voice is a perfect romantic compliment to Valentine’s Day. The Mercury Cafe hosted a 3 night run for them and sold every show out, unsurprisingly. Couples couldn’t keep their hands off each other and many in the back were dancing the night away.
