Colorado natives through and through, we strolled out to cherry creek res and took advantage of another gorgeous Denver day by celebrating their engagement. Meanwhile, I fell into a swamp and we got eaten alive by hordes of mosquitos – but that didn’t stop us from getting some fantastic imagery. I feel like all my shoots are team efforts as it really asks a lot of the couple to open up and show me their relaxed, confident, and intimate side in front of a lens. Farah & Usmann really did such an amazing job in this regard. Their wedding is planned for August and they will embracing their cultural background by having traditional 3 day Pakistani wedding with lots of food, color, and dancing.
LOVE it.
Here are the winners of my engagement shoot give-away from LOVESICK EXPO 2014. Congrats you crazy lovebirds. They picked some great locations to work with and had an incredibly natural way of posing and showing their intimacy and fun side.
Excited to finally post this styled shoot that the incredibly talented and energetic Nicole Dominic-Pelletier produced. Fashion designer Carol Ann Wachter (Boulder) provided her new clothing collection “When Women Were Birds” and the lovely women of Denver based local band Paper Bird (Esme Patterson, Genevieve Patterson, and Sarah Shu) modeled. The imagery is being used by Paper Bird to promote their new album “Rooms” and current tour, as well as their vocal workshops for children called “Finding Your Voice” in their ongoing efforts to give back to their local community.
Paper Bird’s style of vocal harmonic indie folk/baroque pop is incredibly soothing to the soul and easily one of Denver’s best bands. Their live performances are a must see!
Here’s a few songs off their new album:
